Aftercare guide
Lash Extension Aftercare
A few small habits make a huge difference in how long your set lasts. Follow this guide from day one and your lashes will stay fuller, fluffier, and healthier between fills.
First 48 hours
- Keep lashes completely dry — no water, steam, sweat, or sauna.
- Skip the gym, hot yoga, and long hot showers.
- Don't rub, pull, pick, or touch your lashes.
- Sleep on your back if you can — avoid mashing your face into the pillow.
How to clean your lash extensions
Clean lashes = better retention. Oil, makeup, and dead skin break down the adhesive and trap bacteria at the lash line. A quick wash every day takes under a minute.
- Pump a lash-safe foam cleanser onto a clean lash brush.
- Gently swipe through your lashes in a downward motion — top, sides, and underneath.
- Rinse thoroughly with cool water until no foam remains.
- Pat dry with a lint-free towel — never rub.
- Once fully dry, brush through with a clean spoolie to set the fans.
Daily maintenance tips
- Cleanse lashes every day (or every other day) with a lash-safe foam cleanser and a soft brush.
- Rinse with cool water, then gently pat dry with a lint-free towel.
- Brush through with a clean spoolie once dry — top to bottom, lightly.
- Sleep on a silk or satin pillowcase to reduce friction.
Products & habits to avoid
- Oil-based cleansers, makeup removers, sunscreens, and moisturizers near the eyes.
- Waterproof mascara and traditional mascara on the extensions.
- Cotton pads or cotton balls around the lashes — fibers snag.
- Eyelash curlers (mechanical or heated).
- Picking, twisting, or pulling shedding lashes — let them fall naturally.
- Face-down sleeping and sleep masks that press on the lash line.
Fills & longevity
- Book a fill every 2–3 weeks to keep your set full.
- Come in with clean, makeup-free lashes — saves time and protects retention.
- Mini fills are for refreshes within ~1 week of your last appointment.
